Bike Prom
A group of my friends got together to thrift store shop for gaudy attire.
We dressed up at Kristin's house and then rode our bicycles to Bike Prom....
Fort Collins (yet again) is cool like that.

Food. Family. Fireworks. Fourth!
In the middle of a scorching hot week was a rainy Fourth of July. We worked with it....
Had a picnic inside. Cleared some furniture. Laid down blankets on the floor. Brought in picnic umbrellas for decor. Turned the Rockies game on.
Deviled eggs. My favorite!
Invited some friends over.
Cake bomb....
Homemade icecream...
cream bagged in ice, smothered in rock salt, wrapped in newspaper, decorated for fun...
Who invited the Canadian? ;)
Tossed about....

With the rest of the family venturing off to watch the city fireworks, I stayed behind in the quiet empty house and cleaned the kitchen to the sound of rain coming in thru all the open windows and doors.... enjoying the spirit of my home neighborhood setting off their own fireworks.....
it was peaceful.
