Ever since Cameron was a kid, the whole Loucks family would order huge Mocha Whips of their own (everytime they went to visit the grandparents or if they were in a one hour radius of Cedaredge), and race to see who could finish theirs first. Even with everyone grown and with families of their own, the obsession with Mocha Whips continues. Basically, any representing (and properly initiated) Loucks could walk in, give one smirky glance, no words need be exchanged, and a Mocha Whip would be ordered before the door shut behind you. This go around, I believe 8 huge whips were ordered (poor Tony), and still I was told to get my own. And so I did. Before we left, Tony and his wife took a group picture with us.... Fortunately for him, he was able to sell his place.... Unfortunatley for us, Mocha Whips are officially on the endangered species list. We'll have to wait and see. It was cool having the whole gang there one last time.

Woodis Family Reunion (that's Cam's mom's side)...
The big thing this summer according to Sue, was the Woodis Family Reunion. I was the designated photographer. And as such, I had lots of photos to choose from for this post. Here are the brief highlights.....
The reunion took place on the western slope. Our immediate Loucks family stayed in Cedaredge. Day one of the events took place at Steve's Ranch in Montrose (Steve being Sue's brother). Day two of the events took place at Ridgway State Park.
These are the last two living Woodis brothers and their wives. The first picture posted of the whole clan is the product of these two couples. It's cool having the visual perspective, i think!
This picture represents the oldest and the youngest at the reunion. John is my Great Uncle in law and Jaxson is my nephew (via Cody and Jaime).
Anywho.
The events went as followed....
More mingling.
Me taking the shots I enjoy and within my comfort zone (completely unrelated to the reunion)
Steve's farm
mmmm..... Olathe sweet corn :)
feeding chickens red vines.
sillyness and goofyness.
hangin.
Pig roast -
head removed for the sake of the children
and what would a reuion ORGANIZED BY SUE be without a family history lesson :)
Afternoon at the lake.
a slide obsession.
Rehydrating.
cousin bonding on a gravel driveway.
and most importantly.....
what would a trip to the western slope be without the traditional
Mocha Whip @ Tony's?!!!
